      Pros

      Working hard to be innovative, lower tech company grew big quickly so lots of growing pains- working hard to catch up. Pretty nice benefits- they try hard to make it a fun environment- food trucks or treats 1-2x month, high health coverage, 401K match

      Cons

      PTO (no sick time or bereavement) Like anywhere, depending on the manager can be toxic

      Innovation takes time, more than it should at SawStop

      Pros

      The engineering staff is great. The engineering managers do care about their direct reports. Lots of fun innovative work.

      Cons

      There is a lack of focus with the teams ping ponging around on development without a process. This is due to the Engineering VP level. There’s been a parade of VPs over the last 6-8 years, continually changing team and product dynamics. Very reactionary, rather than strategic. It’s gotten slightly better, but still ad hoc reactions to things that could easily have been anticipated.
