Pros

- Good customers, that are building some amazing and disruptive products - High-quality Recruiters who raise the bar - A collaborative remote working culture - Never resting on their laurels - always looking for ways to do things better - Open, honest and transparent communication from Senior Management

Cons

- Not really a con, more of a statement that the market has been really tough during 2022 and the signs are that 2023 is going to require everyone to pull together. All Scede employees need to jump on the bus and help to collectively drive things forward - this is not always evident.

Pros

The People - Some of the most incredible like minded and driven recruiters I've worked with; Data Driven - We always love a company thats so proactive around data.

Cons

I loved Scede, I used to shout about this place to the rooftops. I loved the people, leadership and how they were set up as business. However, they have utterly lost their way. I understand there is an economic downturn and tough decisions to be made. I really do understand that, it can be tough. But you simply can not drill into your employees that you’re ‘people-first’, ‘open’ and ‘transparent’ when the last 3-4 months you have completely fallen short on all 3. It’s actually been unbelievable how some of THE BEST recruiters I’ve worked with have been treated. Yes, redundancies have to be somewhat cut throat. But you have literally thrown 25+ employees to the curb with absolutely no aftercare. You even told us all not to contact them. So we can’t even offer symphony and say our goodbyes? Even typing that sentence is so ridiculous. I know some of them haven’t even had their own line managers reach out… it’s honestly insane how they’ve approached this. Your egotistical and arrogant approach to winning new business has bitten Scede badly. You had such strict guidelines for businesses to work with us and because you turned away some great potential clients that didn’t fit this exact criteria over the year or so I've been here, you’ve nearly had to half your business in size. I’ve recently been approached by 3 different RPO’s over the last few weeks. Why are they growing and we’re not? Don’t just blame the economy, you need to take accountability that you have commercially screwed up. Someone said to me once, your company is not your family and your boss is not your friend. This has come to life for me while at Scede.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of Scede and for sharing some of your thoughts with us. These have been fed back to the senior leadership team so that we can collectively see where we can do better. Whilst we have done our very best to provide a compassionate experience for everyone involved through an incredibly challenging time, we're sorry to see that you have such a negative perception. Our aim was to run a respectful process for people in impacted roles, and enable those affected to determine who they informed that they would be leaving Scede. Our ask for others to not speculate over who had been impacted was to enable this personal decision, rather than to limit direct communication channels.. I hope from the recent company update it is clear to you what our growth plans are. As an organisation with communication and improvement at the core of our values, if you would like to talk about this confidentially at any time, please feel free to drop an email to any member of the Leadership team.

Pros

Flexibility is very good, you run your own day and as long as you are hitting targets they are flexible. Great clients and exposure to scale up companies

Cons

Culture changed and continues to change dramatically. There is a lot of favouritism- usually for the wrong people They don't know how to manage high performers- they don't even know who the high performers are at times Lost a lot of very good employees Don't live by their values, say they care about their people but tons of examples of where they put £ before people
