Pros

Average to Good Benefits compared to other Canadian companies. Great team to work with and Managers listen.

Cons

Since SchoolMessenger and West have been acquired in 2017, for the past 6 months all raises, role title changes, and bonuses are on hold indefinitely. Sigma 6 has been implemented in order to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and structure work processes. Unfortunately when other departments can't follow set processes, Directors won't discipline their favoured departments and force their will for whatever illogical reason. No transparency from Directors upward. We have no idea what our Director does, nor do we know who our new VP is. Our Managers clearly outline their mandates, but can't give any information on our Director or VP's mandates because they have no information on it whatsoever.

Pros

Opportunity to work remotely, minimal time in office.

Cons

Does not care about employees, frequent surprise layoffs, promotions and hiring of friends/family of management that are unqualified. “Unlimited Time Off” instead of PTO/Sick leave.
