Pros

They paid me a comfortable base and guaranteed commissions due to there being no lead volume for their incomplete product.

Cons

The CEO and Head Executive are extremely toxic to work with. Ed, the CEO, is an egotistical child to work with. He insulted me numerous times throughout my time there and even said if I were to leave the company neither he nor Gab, the toxic head exec, would ever think about me again. This was after Gab threatened my job for the third time. Ed is too worried about sounding like some visionary, than actually growing a software platform. I wasn't able to do my job during my time there because every time I would talk to a client Ed would just blab on with a feature dump and just tooting his own horn, people can see through his fakeness. These two are extremely out of touch relying on their previous succesful exits and false promeses and what seems to be high pay, but what is high pay if there is no job security whatsoever?

Pros

Really nice people outside of the executive suite

Cons

The leadership here is horrible. It feels very much like a boys club. They love to woo you with offsite trips to "the ranch" but then force things like mandatory karaoke on you. They don't seem to value their employees as actual humans who have emotions or opinions.

Pros

The individuals at Scoot were among the most exceptionally skilled and truly compassionate individuals I've had the privilege of collaborating with. Their dedication to the product was truly impressive, and I consider myself fortunate to have crossed paths and collaborated with all of them.

Cons

Having looked over the previous reviews, regrettably, I find myself in alignment with the sentiments expressed by others. Scoot is presently undergoing a series of layoffs, and while Ed attributes this to market conditions, I would like to contend that it's the result of poor choices made by the leadership team that have brought us to the point of necessitating these layoffs. To those who will remain at Scoot, I extend my best wishes, but it's imperative that substantial changes are implemented within the executive team, and the exclusive "boys club" culture be dropped.
