Inadequate training - training is provided sporadically with no structure between training sessions.
Senior Management - little support from the manager. Expects too much in comparison to the support / training provided.
Office environment - tense, not a great place to work. Management pick up on trivial issues and it creates a bad environment. Seems to be a favouritism towards staff who have been there the longest.
HR - Travel arrangements tends to always be the cheapest option and often involves multiple train journeys where there is a direct option available. While I understand this makes financial sense, it's not fair on staff as they often don't get home until after 7pm with no compensation. No lunch expenses whilst working out of the office.
Recruitment - Firm recruit inexperienced graduates but fail to provide adequate training. Staff retention levels in relation to regulatory executives or advisors is poor.
Pay - Regulatory Executive pay is 16/18k. Working week is 40 hours with 30 mins lunch. Not value for money in my opinion considering hours + workload. Regularly find myself staying beyond 17:30. Regulatory Advisor wage slightly increases with additional bonus if targets are met. Bonus system is difficult to follow.
Benefits - As this is a relatively new company there are not really any staff benefits/perks. Pension scheme not yet set up.
Please note - this whole of this review is purely my own opinion.
