TRASH - DO NOT WORK FOR THEM

Pros

Remote opportunities for those who cannot afford to commute

Cons

- Management doesn't communicate well with staff or with companies (offices) they have contracts with - You find out about losing a shift (12h) the day of.... with no guarantee that you will be allowed to pick up a different shift to make up for those hours - Pay is okay... but there are times they receive free labor, as they only pay for up to one hour of pre-charting. Pre-charting can range though, depending on the number of patients your provider sees. One hour for 15-25 patient charts is NOT enough. - We were told TWO days prior that our positions were discontinued from a site. Management claims to not have known about the discontinuing of our positions, but I had heard from a provider that it might be coming and inquired to one of my site managers about it, and she reassured me, after reaching out to management, that our positions were secure.... WELL APPARENTLY NOT!!! Out of work for 3 weeks. I was supposed to start a new position only for my date to be pushed back THREE times. Again due to communication issues (lack of communication) and an inability to properly schedule and follow up. - no benefits whatsoever... so if you need benefits.. this isn't the place for you - you can cover a shift last minute, but need a last-minute switch to be penalized... You can help cover a site managers a** but they'll leave you hanging when you need a favor in return - Sometimes schedules are given late-- and i mean 24h before :/ & other times its given so far in advance that you will be screwed if a provider suddenly switches a shift with another person or calls out. Again, makeup shifts are not guarenteed. - Management is UNPROFESSIONAL and lack ACCOUNTABILITY-- they seem to believe they do nothing wrong. No employee should feel like they cannot advocate (properly) for themselves b/c of management. And for reference, I have worked with other companies such as ScribeAmerica, and Scrivas. I have NEVER encountered issues such as these with them....

Pros

Easy hiring process. "Testing" is not difficult.

Cons

Impossible to communicate with - they don't answer the phones, don't return emails, ignore requests, and when I went to the office location nobody at the listed address of 409 E Main in Richmond knew who Scribekick was or what I was talking about when I asked for them. Pay is not alright.

Pros

Opportunity to learn medical terminology

Cons

Pay Even if you request full time, you work on your doctors schedule, so if they work part-time, you work part-time. Opportunities for extra hours ALWAYS fall through. They do not provide necessary technology for scribing, it us up to you to have your own which can put much stress on your devices.
