All good things must come to an end.
Pros
Great co-workers and family like atmosphere. Pay pretty good if you perform well and have a professional title. Great place to get hands on experience in a manufacturing environment without having the politics of a $1B company. New projects constantly let you see new innovative prototype products come out in market before anyone else and keeps the job interesting. If you live close the commute is better than the rat race to Tampa.
Cons
Equity owned. All the original management were pushed out completely transforming this place. Can’t speak for what it is now but I’m glad I left when I did. The importance of who gets paid changed when the company was bought shifting from caring about employees to caring about investors was pretty obvious. That alone is a killer for morale. HR could use improvement as it was actually a “human resource” at one point but is no longer. As another reviewer said, Seaway is located in a sketchy low income area. Not ideal for business professionals to want to commute to. Poor bonuses for non-management employees but that changed since being bought out. Now the bonus plans include goals that are nearly impossible to meet. Warehouse is DISGUSTING rats, snakes, roaches, bees, dust, and no air conditioning. Area is prone to flooding as well.
