Pros

The people who work there (not management) are brilliant and everyone gets along really well.

Cons

I’d never return. You are treated terribly, they make empty promises then refuse to pay your bonuses. Temps get paid more than permanent staff - shows you how much they respect their work force. They use a system that doesn’t work and is not fit for purpose making your life extremely difficult and forever lying to the clients. Most of the staff have no proper training and when they make mistakes it’s their fault - not managements because why would they accept blame? Most of the clients accounts are failing and you’re told my management to lie to them all the time. The M.D. Susie has no idea what’s going on on the ops floor, and when she walks past you’re told to make noise on the phone to ‘look busy’. When we have a client visit we are told to look busy and hide all our mugs and coats so the clients don’t see, also no lunch breaks when the clients visit as they can’t see the workforce not at their computers. The company is failing get out while you can.

Awful employer

Pros

Easy processes to learn and the people are friendly. There are bonuses, which can be achieved, but that depends on what type of client you are saddled with.

Cons

No proper leadership from the MD down. Decisions are normally made in a vacuum and not explained properly to employees. Targets are often unachievable or not properly thought through, which leads to a culture of distrust and blame. If you fall short there is the constant threat of a PIP hanging over you, which is suppose to be a personal improvement plan, but it is rather just a way for management to get rid of you. Promotions are almost nonexistent and when they do occur it is not based on merit, but rather on how well you get on with management. Pay is terrible. Managers take credit when things go well, but when they don't they try to pin it on their employees. The MD, Susie Thompson is useless. She thinks she can fix everything by being positive all the time and giving people false promises - it's truly cringeworthy.

It could be so much better

Pros

The only positive are the people you work with on the operational floor who are at the bottom rung. They understand the work far better than anyone else.

Cons

Senior management is entirely there by virtue of their family connections or friendship. The MD is the founders daughter, and another director is the son of the founder - both woefully lacking any touch with the reality of how the business actually operates day to day and are easily beguiled by "new ideas" being good ideas. They won't hesitate to make you redundant - this is not part of the current wave of redundancy. They have a consistent track record of what is essentially constructive redundancy. You have very little chance of moving up in the business. The pay is awful.
