Benefits don't out weigh the horrendous working environment.
Cons
Union leadership and management see employees as expendable. You will soon notice the outright hypocrisy of what Local 1000 preaches about "workplace empowerment" and "fighting for the middle class" and how they treat their own staff. Turnover is constant and the union is only in it to serve the very few at the top. So glad I left and found a much more lucrative job with an organization that treats employees with respect.
