Pros

It is good for freshers to start and then leave after completing the bond. You will learn from management the art of Sweet talking. You will learn from management how to bring out benefits that nobody can avail. You will learn from management how to bend, twist and change your own commitments.

Cons

There are no career opportunities as such. Zero Compensation and no benefits. All work and no life so there is no question of balance. Senior management are seniors only in age. They cannot demonstrate any other traits of seniority. Culture is to be a vulture. No values at all. They are willing to pay for people to join but they will not pay for existing performing people. Dirty politics is at every level. There is bias and policies change for one employee to another. Appraisal process is stage-set. Everything is pre-determined. HR are puppets in the hands of management and clients. They are not willing to do any good and are neither capable of doing any good. Employees has to run behind everyone to get his appraisal done. Appraisal's are delayed by 2-3 months. If you take interview on weekends and management pay's you for that then it is considered in you appraisal !! If you join you will have to work as a SE, Validator, SA, DBA, System Integrator, Network Engineer & any other technical post that could possibly be there. A company with ever changing, unbelievably ridiculous policies with no maturity at all. I wished to post the policies here so that people will know for themselves. Policies will keep on changing and piling up with addition of new guy in HR/Admin.

Pros

You will learn lot of exploitation and people management skills. Ex : 1. How to exploit new comers and needy Software Engineers for own gains 2. How to showcase yourself as the most talented person with no knowledge what so ever 3. Seniors convince young engineers that even though Google wanted them but yet they choose to stay at Sela 4. You will learn that there are a lot possible HR positions, ex : "Client Side HR", "Attending HR", "Product HR", "Cleaning HR" etc

Cons

Just keep counting : 1. You will actually feel like you are in a Roadies or Splitsvilla show. Where losers judge you for something that they cannot achieve by themselves or will never achieve 2. You will be made to feel worthless all the time during your stay 3. They don't know what mental health or work life balance means 4. Bad hygiene toilets and cafeteria 5. HRs will be your guide all the time, you will be reporting to HR, working for them, begging from them and mistreated by them 6. If you are a girl just don't come here 7. You will learn nothing but yes will have your bills paid off

Pros

The company is good for freshers to start only if they do not get placed anywhere else. Good technologies.

Cons

Everything about this company. 1. It does not have any policies for the employees. It makes policies as it suits itself 2. The HR and management is pathetic. Nobody ever responds to any problems of any employee 3. Appraisal process is lousy and staged. 4. Employee are shown down at every stage 5. 30% of employee salary is kept by Sela under the name of retention bonus and given without any interest only after completing one year in Sela. This will continue till the employee leaves the company. And if the employee resigns before completing that year (as per Sela's terms) is not entitled for this money. This shows how insecure Sela is, and how much it thinks about its employees' goodwill. 6. There is a 2 years bond which again shows their insecurity. 7. The management and HR portrays its employees as SLAVES to their clients. Because of which the client makes employees work for hours, even late nights and also sends onsight without any proper compensation (not even appreciation). 8. Nobody here will fight for the employee if the client misbehaves or is not giving proper response to his/her work. Instead the employee is told to fend for himself. 9. There is absolutely no growth here and employees are given seniority by age and not by work. 10. Sela only knows dirty politics. They will keep beating round the bush and never work toward betterment of its employees.
