Pros

They're flexible once pandemic hit when it came to PTO and working remotely

Cons

The company is built on a a foundation of really shady affiliate marketing companies. Most of the Sendlane customers are scam affiliate marketing companies or dodgy really small e-commerce companies. You can't build a successful company on the grave of an affiliate marketing company, it just doesn't work like that. It's deeply engrained into the company and you can tell. They routinely have to ban customers from the platform for shady practices. I don't see longevity being possible when the market is severely oversaturated with much, much better and cost efficient options for email marketing. Leadership that doesn't invest time into properly training individual contributors or ensuring the success of those at the entry level. Incredibly underpaid staff. Starvation wages (this is probably because making payroll is a struggle). I was told by my direct reports that everyone in my position was severely underpaid and CEO just vehemently disagreed and wouldn't make any changes.

Pros

Okay base pay. Yearly trip. Work from home Friday's.

Cons

Everything else. They lie about everything when you start there, ESPECIALLY the commission (made about 1% of their "OTE"). And don't even bother looking at the benefits on their career page, you won't actually get any of those. As far as the executive team goes, nothing they do makes any sense. They spend money on stupid things, then won't pay for necessary things (i.e. new sales tools). When you bring ideas to them, they act like they care then it gets swept under the rug. High turnover, you'll either quit or be laid off within 6 months

Pros

There wasn't enough to list here.

Cons

Poor/sub-par management of deadlines and expectations of work needed to be completed, not heeding advice from the engineering team when necessary (new feature implementation, what's possible within a given timeframe etc.), refusing to implement simple processes like design iteration to better install features and functionality into the app instead of just introducing poorly thought out concepts randomly, poor server/data management... The list goes on.
