Pros

The office culture is nice and warm. Great coworkers and work environment. However, it is currently under stress due to recent layoffs in the engineering division. Compensation and perks are competitive. Everybody is pinning their hopes on their pile of priceless stock options.

Cons

Currently, there is nothing great about the company for professional growth in research and development. It used to be a great place for R&D 5 years ago. Now the company is stocking its management workforce, which expects unreasonable things from the R&D team. Management lacks complete foresight, whimsically changing the product goals, and expects its employees to chase a moving target.

Pros

There are some great people here at Senseonics, Very skilled and hardworking. The technology is interesting and has the potential to disrupt the CGM industry

Cons

The leadership of this company is weak. some of the management is very smart, the smartest I have ever known, but others are - well - not. They fail to make tough decisions on what to do and what NOT to do. In stead, they decide to do pretty much everything. The workload vastly exceeds the capacity of employees to actually deliver what is needed. Management continually takes advantage of peoples good nature to do what is asked. The result is frustrated employees and families. (Yes, families - I have seen it first hand). There is very little value for operational systems. From planning, to project management, to supply chain, it’s all quite immature. Senseonics boasts of unlimited vacation! Wooo Hooo! Not so fast; you will be too busy for vacation, so one of two thing WILL happen (I see it too often); you will either not take vacation (no time for it) or you will have working vacations (yes that’s right). I have seen it more than not people posting their work schedule while on vacation - not kidding! Senseonics has so compromised trust, you must protect yourself from them. How? By working 8 and out. The consequences of their bad decisions must come back to them. I could go on and on, but i hope you ge the idea. This is the worst place I have ever worked, and there is little chance of it changing - due to weak leadership.
