Pros

I’ve been at SentinelOne for over three years, and it’s clear the company really invests in its people, especially managers. There’s a big focus on leadership development and growth, which helps us show up better for our teams. We recently had a LeaderOne Summit where Senior Managers and Directors came together to connect, share, and lean into our leadership principles. It was a great experience, and it was so amazing to see the company investing in us so intentionally! The company genuinely cares about employees, from learning and development opportunities to strong benefits, competitive pay, and resources that support both work and life. What's most important to me about the company I work for is its mission. Being part of a cybersecurity company that’s tackling real challenges in today’s world makes the work feel meaningful. It’s motivating to know that what we do every day contributes to something bigger.

Cons

If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, this is a great place to be. It’s not for everyone, though, since things move quickly and priorities can change. The good part is that leadership is open about where we’re headed and really makes an effort to give teams the support they need to succeed.

Culture is non-existent

Pros

The company offers strong perks, and the leadership team in the U.S. has consistently been supportive and impressive. Health insurance is a big merit. However, working in Australia can feel somewhat disconnected, as many global initiatives and activities don’t reach the local teams.

Cons

Since the shift in regional leadership following the new CRO’s appointment, the environment in ANZ has changed noticeably. The culture has become more pressured, with staff often feeling scrutinised rather than empowered. Although there is frequent discussion about “building culture,” it’s difficult to cultivate when it feels imposed rather than developed organically.

1. Competitive Benefits: A competative benefits package that includes generous medical and dental coverage. Employees also have access to wellness programs, gym reimbursements, and global wellness challenges, which promote a healthy work-life balance and overall well-being. 2. Flexible Work Environment: The company is known for its flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to choose between remote and hybrid work options. This flexibility supports a better work-life balance and accommodates diverse personal needs. 3. Career Development Opportunities: Provides various career development programs. These initiatives include mentorship opportunities, training sessions, and pathways for advancement within the company, fostering a culture of continuous learning. 4. Supportive Company Culture: The workplace culture at SentinelShoes is described as inclusive and supportive, where teamwork and collaboration are highly valued. Employees report feeling appreciated and recognized for their contributions, which enhances job satisfaction. 5. Commitment to Employee Well-being: Beyond standard benefits, they emphasise mental health support through programs like Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). These services offer counseling and support for personal and work-related issues, ensuring employees have access to necessary resources for their mental health.

Cons

1. High Pressure and Stressful Environment: A high-pressure work environment, which can lead to significant stress. The expectations for performance and productivity can be challenging, particularly during peak seasons. 2. Work-Life Balance Challenges: Despite flexible work arrangements, there is an expectation to complete tasks at a high rate, with exacting standards. This can result in longer hours and difficulty disconnecting from work.
