The Demise of SMG

Pros

-Ability to work from home -Constant reminder on how NOT to treat employees - DO NOT trust any of the most recent positive reviews. Brand new hires are being guilted into leaving reviews before they uncover what a mess the company is.

Cons

-Since the new CEO took over 160+ employees have quit. Most of these employees were not only long tenured employees but top performers at the company. -Over a dozen employees were laid off after they helped train outsourced labor. -Workload for all departments is crushing with all of the departures and horrible process changes by C-Suite -No roadmap to share with clients or internal teams as key leaders in the business don’t understand what SMG does -Nearly the entire sales team has quit, resulting in the lowest sales in company history. -Outsourced labor has reduced the quality and speed to resolve tickets and launch items. The backlog grows with each passing day with no plans from upper management to intervene. -The entire C-Suite has quit and been replaced with individuals who do not care about people. They drive a message of “get on board or get out.” -The very few leaders that are left are unengaged and simply nod their head “yes” to the CEO rather than speaking the truth for fear of being replaced or outed as an ineffective leader. -Internal teams have been able to hide/cover up the SMG demise from clients, but the cracks are showing and it’s just a matter of time before clients also start departing -CEO peddles a fake narrative on all company calls and doesn’t address the absolute mess he has created. -Leadership does not like when you raise red flags or suggest an alternative way.
