Pros

* Opportunities for interprofessional relationships * Certification in First Aid & Medication Administration * Okay benefits

Cons

* Absurdly underpaid (I was salary and worked sixty hours a week, on-call two weeks a month...for $30,000/yr) * Disdain for work/personal life boundaries * Noticeable lack of diversity * Expected to be available every moment of the day * Expected to pick up the slack and general incompetence of long-term fellow managers * Hugely understaffed; per diem staff referred to as "warm bodies" and long-term staff jaded and burnt out

Pros

Consumers desperately need help and service

Cons

It very well may not be within your influence or decision making capacity...but I have to say your compensation for front line workers is shameful. ServiceNet administrators should feel ashamed receiving high compensation for the lackluster administrative support they provide. ServiceNet is a horrible company to work for when you’re beginning your career in the human service field.
