Pros

Great place to be if it is your first job out of college. You will be surrounded by young inexperienced employees that are in the same boat as you. Being young and dumb has its benefits. There is some type of pleasure in busy work.

Cons

The Ceo and the rest of the executive team are antiquated and unscrupulous. Everyone tap dances around a CEO that is out of touch and fake. If you pay attention to the turnover and products that provide no real value you can figure it out.

Pros

I started working at Sesame Communications during what seemed to be a highly profitable and optimistic time. I enjoyed many of my coworkers and found the work to be challenging, but still a fun environment to work in. After about 6 months, I became less naive and started to see major cracks in the foundation. The best employees started to leave for better opportunities. The fun happy hours and work parties became less enjoyable and eventually ceased altogether. No one felt heard and very few people seemed satisfied.

Cons

The portfolio size I managed was huge (at one point 126 clients) and ultimately un-manageable, but I bent over backwards trying to make my clients happy. My managers repeatedly asked me to NOT work as hard, because I was achieving more than the rest of my teammates. When good managers left for better opportunities, team members with more seniority were promoted to management positions, and had no previous management experience. To put it nicely, these new "managers" were catty and inept. It was revealed to me that many coworkers were sleeping together casually, and there was a major alcohol problem with many employees. During football season, most Mondays a "flu" went a around because many Sesame employees were hungover from the weekend and didn't bother to show up to work the next day. Earlier this year, Sesame Communications was acquired by Internet Brands, due to a huge debt that they apparently had, but never told the employees about. They let go of one third of the staff, many people who had children, families to support and no proven work performance issues, they were simply disliked by the managers. After these people were let go, staff was asked to do their previous jobs, as well as the members who were fired. After many employees were fed up with the additional work (and no longer received bonuses for it) they left. Sesame Communications has since hired 3 (to my knowledge) of the staff members they fired BACK. They didn't want to pay their severance and it was cheaper to hire someone who was already trained.

Pros

My free bus pass. Easy access to bars in Pioneer Square during lunch. Working with others who share the affinity of how horrible our lives getting with each passing minute.

Cons

Poor leadership from sales all the way up to the CEO. Someone had posted a review on March 21, 2014: "The CEO and the rest of the executive team...everyone tap dances around a CEO that is out of touch and fake..." WELL PUT.
