Pros

- People are friendly - Two catered lunches and 1 breakfast every week. Sometimes they have people come in cook omelet on site - Laid back environment - Flexible schedule. Can work from home - 4 months fully paid maternity leave in US

Cons

Under this seemingly calm, laid back and harmonious environment, this company is dysfunctional in many different ways: - The environment is almost too laid back and too comfortable for a company like this size. Probably that's why the company is not growing as there's lack of energy in the office. - Promotion is not merit based but based on favoritism. People are being held to different standards. Sometimes on the same team, hard working people's hard work went unrecognized or was taken for granted but people who constantly not pull their weight and reply on the team to help out got promoted frequently. - Founders of the company, aka, the senior management, tend to keep and promote incompetent people who have been with the company for a long time (5+years). This holds back the company growth especially when these people are heading up some departments. When such department heads are so incompetent, basically decisions made from hiring to day-to-day operations are not in the company's best interest. - The management lack of vision. It's confusing people a lot.

Pros

Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and alcohol

Cons

Toxic, dysfunctional work environment. Employees repeatedly escalate issues with management to HR, which are woefully mismanaged and put people in a very precarious position. Specifically because management is protected instead of employees, which creates a hostile and unhealthy work environment. The business is stagnant and product is no longer innovating. Plus, they are lost when it comes to market positioning. This is a company that was once a market leader but has now been overtaken by almost everyone else in the market. Majority of management is unqualified and working in inflated roles. They are unwilling to hear internal and external feedback to improve. The org structure is nonsensical, which causes tension and a lack of appropriate structure. Career development and mentoring is non-existent. The entire company is full of gossip. There is more drama than positive support for colleagues.

Pros

Sharethrough was the best experience I've had yet in terms for culture and growth. I started when the company was very small and was able to see it go through many growth phases. Throughout changes, shifts, people coming and going, the company's values remain unchanged. There are no two leaders I respect more than Dan & Rob, the two cofounders and their respect for their employees is again consistent and admirable. The company continues to be trusted in the industry for always being honest and ethical in a world that is often known for being shady.

Cons

The company's culture is incredible, but sometimes it comes at the expense of keeping employees on track and motivated to go above and beyond. It's easy to take advantage of the trust the company places in you.
