They are the Cons. Glassdoor doesnt allow people to rate in negatives... else there genuine rating would have been less than zero. Any review u see above 3 stars is highly likely a fake review taken care by ORM team or any onshore team. They believe in the law of balance.. the more they hire the more they fire. HR walk the floor as if they are spies. They stare at every laptop screen and walk like zombies but they dont make that sound. After teams are downsized they call the rest of teams to assure its never gonna happen again and they take them to party all night to get over. But guess what it happens again.. the firing and the party. They throw more post firing party than success parties as there is nothing much successful about them and never ever will be.

Shaw academy are hands down the worst company I have worked for. The do not value a single employee. They lie in the interview process to lure you in. The promised commission that I have never seen a single person get. In the interview i asked what is the average commission people make. I was told between 1k and 2k per month and that some of the best sales reps have made up to 4k. This was a bear faced lie. I was also told there was lots of room for progression that within a few months employees have been promoted to management roles. Again this was a lie. I was shocked when I started to see that most sales reps had no sales experience. There was no pipeline forecasting done so it was extremely hard to to plan for your monthly deals. The targets were based on call minutes and not on deals which baffled me as I was in a SALES role. You are expected to just keep calling students all day every day one after the other which is fine if you were able to judge how many deals you should be closing a day. But that didn't matter if you didn't hit your call target you had to stay late to reach it. Again nothing about deals. As mentioned in the review title it is a modern day sweat shop. You are James egans minions. They have a saying in shaw academy "everything gets better everytime" This is not true everything gets worse EVERYDAY. Yesterday the fired a little over 20 people without warning after reassuring everyone that if you invest in the company the company would invest in you. This is only 2 weeks until Christmas and they just fired half the company. I have seen people working so hard it has effected them badly for them to just be fired. This isn't the first time shaw academy has done this and this will most definitely not be the last time either. I have seen positive reviews on here and I cannot get my head around it these people have obviously been brain washed or something to say good things. Read all reviews. Tread carefully. If you value your career, your social life and most importantly your mental health please please stay away. I am shocked and appalled at the lack of respect for other human beings. They also advertise that the webinars are live. They are not live they are all prerecorded and let students believe they are watching a live stream.
