      There are not any pros to this company.

      Cons

      This is such a poor company that uses and abuses. Do not work here. The executive director is abusive, manipulating, and condescending. They did not follow covid protocol and made fun of the fact of the pandemic and people who believed in masks. Avoid this place at all costs please.

      Pros

      SHIELD Bearer is a diverse counseling agency that meets individuals where they are helps them achieve healing and mental health. They strive to help every individual regardless of their financial situation. The staff is a family that truly cares about one another and those they serve.

      Cons

      Because they are largely funded by donation and because of the poor economy they are unable to compensate at the very top of the the salary tier. However, this is also what makes the group of individuals who work here so special. They are doing this work because they truly care about the mission.

      Pros

      I loved my prior ministry positions but over time the long hours and covid worn me out. Shieldbearer has been a great place to recover. It’s truly been a non-drama environment of grace, support and flexibility. I’ve treasured my time here, staff, co-workers and our clients.

      Cons

      With multiple shifts and a busy pace, communication and processes can be disrupted at times, but it hasn’t been a big issue for anyone. We flux together.
