Pros

Since there's no real structure you don't really have many "barriers" and you can gain exposure to a lot of different skillsets.

Cons

Below market healthcare benefits, no compensation transparency whatsoever, and no 401k. Employees have no visibility or say in the decision making processes which results in low morale and a high level of confusion and uncertainty. Lack of structure and no coherent or clearly communicated plans mean that you are constantly being assigned work that feels like busywork but deadlines with arbitrary. No one really understands what the tech here does or how it works and it appears to break constantly, but new features are constantly prioritized over maintenance or repair of existing core feature sets.

Pros

-With so many good people leaving career growth is right around the corner even if you're underexperienced - Easy to commute office - Flex remote work (full remote with covid)

Cons

Below market compensation, no 401k match, chronic understaffing relative to workload, gaslighting by management, promotion by bootlicking vs meritocracy, no transparency All the work, alcohol dependency, and frat culture of a startup without any of the stock options. Company is addicted to buzzword projects to figure out what would benefit/woo clients&internal staff instead of simply listening to what everyone tells mgmt Company feels more like a highschool than a place of business Is happy to point to 'Sidecar's values' and solicit the advice of employees then never act on any of it Everyone jokes "what does management even do" but in all honestly none of us know !Traps customers in contracts instead of standing behind the value of services! Mgmt either doesn't care or isn't listening, to both clients and employees.

Pros

- Coworkers are wonderful. Some of the kindest, hardworking folks I've had the pleasure of working with. Made a lot of friends working here. - Before COVID, the office location was nice and the open floor plan was great for collaborating.

Cons

- Pay is far below market: Instead of having events and free beer, maybe just pay people more? - Under Staffed: Hire. More. People. I am unsure how many ways people have to say it, your teams are drowning. Or if we are going to work 10 hour days, at least pay us more. For the number of customers your mid-market team manages, the pay is far below the market. -Tech really only exists for Google Shopping campaigns. Sidecar doesn't really have tech for the other channels it manages but tells customers it does which is pretty unethical.
