Pros

This company allowed me to be a discount broker and to be my own brand while representing the firm in a way that I think served them and their customers well. I enjoyed working with the other brokers on the desk because we were a team. The job was diversified and not every day was the same as the one before. You might be stuck in the position that you were hired for but there are many opportunities to learn other skills if you are ambitious.

Cons

Very few were promoted beyond the position they were hired for and there are several long term employees who will never see a promotion. No raises, no bonuses, no respect from the most senior management. There is much division among the different departments in the firm, branch offices, discount trading, institutional, operations and service. There is a certain bitterness and discontent that exists among and between co-workers that shouldn't when everyone is giving 200% to a firm that cares so little for their staff.
