Pros

Coworkers are nice and fun to be around. Data-driven, there's lots of graphs and spreadsheets to monitor. Flexible schedule for the most part.

Cons

Don't trust any of the reviews on this site! The founding couple get their friends and family to write reviews for them so that they look better and more successful than they actually are. The management is dedicated to doing well, but unfortunately they keep the profits for themselves and the lower level employees get nothing. They have no prior experience in this market and it shows. Clients are unsatisfied and don't have their complaints taken into concern. There's no consistency to the work hours, it gets hectic at times, even for a start up.

Hi, former Sifter -- Thank you for your feedback. Our goal is that Sifted’s culture and work environment is inspiring to our employees. As a Co-Founder, I care deeply about the happiness and success of everyone on the team. I want this to be the most supportive environment anyone has ever worked in. The honest and anonymous reviews we receive on this platform help us evaluate whether we are successful in this, and what areas of our business need work. We don’t coerce, incentivize or manipulate anyone into leaving reviews, because we value the accuracy of this data. We take client feedback seriously for the same reasons: our product and service is driven by their input, and we want to hear the whole truth so we can continue to improve. We’re a bootstrapped company, which means that we carefully monitor every cent we earn and spend. I assure you that these resources are not allocated without careful thought. For example, both co-founders regularly do not receive pay checks in order to reinvest this money in the growth of the company. We do not, however, expect this of our employees, whose earnings lie above the 50th percentile. But, we know that startup life can be demanding -- sometimes this means a hectic schedule and almost always, this means the rate at which you have to grow is intimidating. Each of our employees is committed to working on themselves so that they can be the best Sifter and human possible, and we give each other the gift of empathy and honesty in the times that we fail. Thank you again for offering your perspective. We appreciate the insight you’ve noted here. If you’d like to chat in person about your experience with us, please reach out to me directly at jess@sifted.co. All the best, Jess Legge Co-Founder

Pros

This is such a collaborative, innovative and free-thinking work environment. I have never been with a company who was more passionate than here! The company is full of supportive leadership that wants to see everyone reach their dreams in life even if it's beyond what Sifted can offer. You are able to make your own success and will be rewarded as such.

Cons

Must have adaptability and ready to change to a new way of thinking in a moment's notice. Being a driven jack-of-all-trades is a must! No health insurance or 401K benefits currently. I know that is typical of some startup environments - but not a deal breaker for me!

Thanks so much for the review. We're proud of the culture we've built -- one that inspires and motivates everyone on our team from co-founders to part-time hosts. We're constantly evolving and expanding to provide the support our employees need, and appreciate your feedback on how we can do this.

Pros

Easy work! Minimal supervision at best

Cons

Boring as all get out! Sifted community is backstabbing. I was fired a week after my husband died and told I was not up to par! They decided that the support I needed was to be gone! Pardon me for grieving and not being able to get your vegetables cut! They are selfless and very very cliquish. I wouldn't suggest working there if you are looking to be inspired. The meals are lackluster and uneventful. The chef never ever washed his grimy hands either! No room for inspiration and no one there to inspire. No inspiring menus, no awesome techniques, learned absolutely NOTHING.
