Pros

- The staff is great. Super friendly people who work hard. - There are lunches supplied on some days (when COVID ends) - Location is easy to access (right off the hwy 1 and Lougheed hwy)

Cons

- C-level management fluctuates wildly from non-existent to micro-managing and is extremely terrible to work with (no filter, negative, has no faith in staff). - Every time a VP/Director Sales position gets filled they've either resigned or been let go within a year. - Processes, quotas and leaders are always changing and never for the better. - Recent separation from Traction on Demand means loss of all things that used to make the culture at Guest worth working at (lunches, gatherings, fun little daily things, desk pranks, etc.) - Lower level management level has no management experience - it's expected that you work off hours if you "want to be successful in sales"

Pros

- Flexible work hours - the team understands that sometimes life just happens and is very accommodating. - Exciting - visitor management is a young product category and brings with it a lot of unexpected twists and turns to the roadmap that keep you on your toes. - An incredible customer success team that at times feels like it’s carrying the company on its shoulders. - Although rare, the development team is free to break the mold and experiment with different technologies whenever an opportunity arises to build a new product, app, or service.

Cons

- The culture and atmosphere of the development team often feels very toxic. - Egos with strong opinions demoralize the rest of the team by making open discussions feel like battles. - Bad apples attempt to pit people & teams against each other. - No one takes ownership of their mistakes or is held accountable - this includes leadership. Instead all you get are coverups, excuses, and blame being thrown around. - Below average compensation - the unwritten expectation is that Guest makes up for its lack of competitive compensation by having an incredible culture, however that’s not true because the culture is in trouble and has been on a steady decline for some time. - Massive increase in development team turnover - loss of incredible talent and immense platform knowledge. - Unresponsive leadership well aware of the problems troubling the development team. - Culture is not important here.

Pros

It's an easy going work environment where they seem to care for their employees on a superficial and surface level.

Cons

It looks all nice and clean on the surface, but they have some internal problems. For example: 1. There is a lot of unsavoury work politics going on. I saw unqualified people get promoted because they had some "real talk" instead of having real accomplishments or merit, while people who actually deserved it were passed over. 2. I was promised a raise after 6 months which never happen, or "forgotten" 3. They announced a new care package for new parents, and I was let go after telling HR I'll be having a baby in a few months. I was never old why I was let go, but I'm assuming they didn't want to pay for my potential leave or decrease in performance.

I am surprised to see your comments. I brought it up to our Senior Leadership team to dig in. We had a hard time validating the feedback, but we are universally clear that we would not terminate an employee because they or their spouse is expecting a child. We are proud of our parent program and make a genuine commitment to our employees with it. If you have questions about your termination, you can contact our People team through the information they provided or you can reach out to me directly.
