A place for mental torture

Pros

The company has very good technically gifted and hard-working people. Every employee tries to give more than 100% towards the work assigned to him and to the company.

Cons

Its very difficult to account all the atrocities this company commits against its employees but I will try to put few incidents as below :- 1). Do not go with the shiny, innocent and smooth talk of the CEO. Every other day he will give new and seemingly impossible targets with a very slim deadline and to top it all he will call a daily meeting which is meant for the status updates but in reality it is targeted to name and shame the employees in front of everyone. At the end of the day you will feel as if you are neither technically sound nor a worthy human being. 2). Perhaps the worst side of this bashing is the constant one on one meetings where he will threaten you of firing. 3). Constant and regular night out is another problem with this company. Now due to the lack of the time given to achieve targets CEO will pursue almost everyone for a night out as regular as 4 nights per week and if by any chance you had some sort of important family dealings, the CEO will go on and talk about your shortcomings to almost every employee behind your back thus creating an unhealthy environment. 4). No appraisals :- Now I am not even talking about the monetary side of appraisal. To bash one employee for shortcomings is one thing but not to praise him on the exceptional work is just another thing. There are many incidences where the employees have done something for which everyone is praising except the CEO who will definitely find a way to bash you on this thing also. 5). No holiday:- This is the most gruesome part. There are many instances where employees are forced to reach office even on weekends and due to some personal work if you are unable to come then you are entitled to face the infamous one on one meeting with the CEO the very next day. They could reach you on phone any time and surprisingly do expect you to answer the call at any-time. Employees have worked for as long as 40 days without a single holiday. 6). Fake profiling:- In order to gain the trust of the near and upper hierarchy. He will announce the fake news very often. 7). Camouflaged Shares :- If you are starting in this company and the management offers you a Piece of shares do not accept the deal. Even if the deal does look lucrative to you on the basis of CEO's projections about the growth of the company and all that part, its basically a well knitted trap. Since it is not a publically traded company shares have no value outside the company if you leave the company you won't get any of the money promised to you in shares.

Pros

People with whom I worked were really good, enthusiastic and full of positive energy. Only because of the team I continued working there and we kept doing multiple innovations. Our work quality was one of the prime point for getting the very first customer for the company. Company is always indebted to us.

Cons

1. People are not valued here, only fake promises are made to just get things done. Company works in a slave-driven mode. Seems CEO's plan is to extract everything out of employees and give back nothing in return. 2. Zero Work Life Balance!!! (Just work work work and 0 returns monetary or appreciations or satisfaction and offcourse 0 life!) 3. Multiple Mal-practices and false promises to customers and employees ( considering the impact to the company I'm not disclosing here). 4. WFH promises to employees but reality is employees had to work even on Public and National holidays. Employees were also questioned and put under stress on why they were travelling during weekends!!! 5. Employees were actually supporting by taking paycuts but were not rewarded in-turn even after there was much better bank balance. I can keep listing like this...

We have high regard for our employees and we are proud to say we are one among the very few start-ups that gives equity to most of the employees. We take care of our employees with utmost importance and make sure of their career growth by providing full freedom for their innovative thoughts and R&D. All the employees who have stayed with us have been rewarded in all possible ways. 2. We have flexible office timings which the employee is free to choose from. In cases where the employee doesn't meet committed timelines, he would be requested to work based on release schedules. This is a common workplace practice. 3. We are an organization that strictly abides by the law in all senses. We have delivered first-pass silicon to many customers', meeting all their expectations well within the timelines. This was possible only because of our high level of transparency with both our customers and employees. 4. We value our commitments to customers and our employees, and the same is expected of the employee to the organization. We don’t set the timelines blindly, we discuss with the concerned employee and come up with mutually agreeable timeline. When an employee wants to travel during project release after missing their timelines for deliverables multiple times it is expected that the employee delivers and then enjoys his vacation. 5. All good things in life take time and requires patience. Every employee who had taken pay-cut were compensated with hikes as well as equity. Your review is more of a personal grudge with an intention to malign our organization. We value constructive feedback rather than showing personal grudge on forums like Glassdoor. We are grateful for you contributions to SiliConch and wish you have a fulfilling career at your current/future organizations. Once again thanks for your feedback as this will help us eliminating all the false accusations put on us. We continuously strive to make SiliConch a great place for all our employees and stakeholders.

Pros

- Amazing team - Very well focused and clear road map - One has all liberty to put your thoughts, Ideas and explore - Learning and Innovation happens almost every day - The kind of guidance, motivation and support you get; just Awesome - Company takes good care of employees health and motivates to have a healthy life style. This list goes on and on and on :-)
