Pros
Lots of different components of the job, none of the monotony of just sitting behind the wheel all day. A base salary is provided so if you need consistent income Florida storm systems won't leave you without a paycheck.
Cons
You will be required to regularly spend days doing work other than running loads for only your base salary. This company uses volumetric trucks so you can't run nearly as many loads as you would expect if you previously worked as a ready-mix driver. You don't receive your start time for the morning typically until 5pm the prior evening. Start time has been as early as 1am. Driver turnover.
