Pros

You’ll work with some good people, who will sadly be too busy to help you. Sandwiches at lunch

Cons

It’s sad really that the two other reviews here from 2004 are completely true to this day, nothing has changed. In fact, it’s probably got worse. The directors are absolutely cut throat and very old school in the way they handle business. There is quite a high turnover of staff, especially those who have only been with the company a year or so. They either leave out or frustration or are quietly managed out. There has been at least 30 exits in the last few years, in a company of 50 staff that’s a lot. Profit shares are almost promised, yet despite it being for the previous year are withheld “due to the forecast for next year being poor” - it’s very demotivating for everyone involved after working tirelessly. They are based on the whole company, and often one area will drag the average down enough so they don’t have to pay. Management do not interact with you - do not expect one-to-ones or progression discussions or targets. Draconian and dated flexible working policy - you are expected to be in the office if not on customer site. Management, directors and those most senior have all been with the company 10/15 minimum years. If you have been with any modern organisation in this time you will be frustrated at the lack of modern working practices. Fresh blood in these positions is desperately needed but unlikely to be taken seriously. Low expense limits and only paid for travel if it’s outside of 7-7. Be home later than 8:30pm if you want more than £4 to last you the day. Dated and depressingly quiet office most of the time. Worst of all, there appears to be zero drive to expand and no public or probably even private plan for the future. As long as the directors and managers get the latest cars, they don’t seem bothered about building this company back to its former glory. Whilst you can take exams onsite, R&D is typically on your own time. Don’t expect to go on any training courses or learn from those more experienced. I genuinely believe, as most do, that Zafer the M.D cares but is suffocated and marginalised from what’s really going on by the rest of the senior team.

Pros

Great sandwiches at lunch time, vending machines and lunch room/games room. Free parking. Friendly colleagues.

Cons

I've noticed that all the positive reviews have been posted within 1 month of each other, not a coincidence. The main issue is the management, a toxic old fashioned approach within an industry that should be modern. There needs to be transparency and a positive attitude which will filter down and uplift the whole company.

Pros

Plenty of chances for promotion as senior staff are leaving plenty of parking

Cons

# Far too many staff are leaving from senior positions and being replaced by new/less experienced colleagues # New staff coming in are not up to scratch and those that are do not get the chance to shine # Lack of support from management when personal issues pop up # promised perks are not realistic/obtainable
