I worked for this place for over ten years. Ten solid good years. In ten years I made no more that $40,000/year. When I asked for a small raise, the management told me I was 'vanilla'. They told me, "they just didn't see it in me." They told me "I didn't take ownership of my projects." They were rude, they were condescending. They were arrogant. For employing a person for 10 years, you would think they would know and understand the value of what an employee brings to the table. It's a shame they've driven an eclectic and creative work environment into a cold, heartless money tank. Beware, all the fun and fluff is just outward appearance... here there be monsters.

Ownership states they want to be held accountable -- there are even posters about this all over the office. When accountability is requested by employees, there is inevitable pushback from ownership and refusal to be held to the standard they have put in place. If you want to expect longevity in your career at Simantel, you need to become best friends with all of the ownership, never disagree with them, and support all decisions or ideas put forth by management. This is especially applicable to the youngest female owner. If you get on her bad side, you must make explicit efforts to get in her good graces or you will most likely find yourself without employment.
