An HONEST Review

Pros

Occasional free company lunch, free parking, free water, free tissues, any office supplies needed were provided at no cost to the employee.

Cons

This is an honest review from someone who left the company just a few months ago. I have read the ‘negative’ reviews, and the ‘positive’ reviews. I have to admit, the ones some read as ‘negative’ are actually spot on. Remember this is an AGENCY, not a large COMPANY so don’t expect to have a long-term career here. This is a great FIRST job if you are just a recent college graduate looking to get your feet wet, learn a lot about internet marketing, and move on with your life. That was my plan, and it worked. I worked there almost two years, gained a ton of knowledge, was promoted, and decided to move on when a better opportunity for a long-term career presented itself. With that, I experienced what I already expected the unprofessionalism of the managers within the company. The second I put in my two-weeks, I was instantly ignored and treated poorly. Anyone who spoke to me in the office was also given the same treatment. I stayed almost 2 full weeks but was still treated as if I had some sort of illness. Before that, I had witnessed over a dozen people come in & out of the company, most of them fired for insanely silly reasons. They re-structured hoping to help the situation, but within just a few months the same rollercoaster began again. The company is operating underneath a 20-something year old who is extremely catty, and spent most of her day with a few other managers gossiping about others in the office. To say the work environment was uncomfortable would be an understatement. The employee turn-over is astronomical, as is the client turn-over. Clients leave because their accounts are shuffled around so often with firings/people leaving. Employees are trained on how to make bad stats sound GOOD, instead of being honest. It’s a terrible feeling to have to lie to clients for the fear of losing your job. We weren’t encouraged to speak in the office, and when people started to finally communicate we were given a PowerPoint presentation about how we were all “squirrels” for talking. It’s a shame that this company still hasn’t pinpointed the issue and tried to fix it. I was hoping I would get an exit interview before leaving so I could share my HONEST thoughts and hopefully help them improve their company for the future, but they don’t do that.

Pros

Given free lunch on occasion

Cons

The work environment is extremely negative here and does not foster the talent of employees. There is cosistently massive client and employee turnover and lack of direction from management. Work loads are extremely heavy while pay is lower than industry averages across all positions. I have never worked in an environment where management has been so vindictive and childish. Leaving here was an excellent career and life decision. Please read the negative reviews if considering a position at Singe Throw. I would not recommend this company to anyone in good conscience.

Truly the worst company I have or ever will work for

Pros

You get a birthday card on your birthday, there is one event for employees in the summer at Lakewood Blue Claws

Cons

The environment at single throw is toxic. Upper management picks favorites and some employees spend all day in senior managements' office gossiping about other employees. There is no room for growth, the pay is disgusting for a full time job, the office is small and unattractive, and upper management sets the most unrealistic expectations. Turnover is astronomical. There are only about 30 employees in the whole "company" and within 3 months i personally watched over 10 people come and go. Once someone gives their 2 weeks, they are immediately told to empty their desk and are walked out. There is no reason for anyone to have to work in this environment and I would highly recommend staying far away.
