Pros

I have been working at SiteVisibility full-time since 2015 and personally, I’ve seen lots of changes here – all for the good! The company culture has continually evolved in that time and as a place to work, it has many benefits. It has a great work life balance ethos that all modern employers should have and it also rewards hard work with recognition and appreciation when times are busy. Coming from a previous role in a large organization I’ve benefited from having the greater ownership and responsibility my role here requires. Also not sure how many other employers you’ll find that gives you the option of borrowing a VW campervan for a weekend away with your family : ) Great work-life balance Good, respectful culture in the team. The company treats its employees well. Lots of opportunity for employees that are prepared to manage their own careers and take the initiative Collaborative culture and environment

Cons

It can be busy and everyone needs to chip in when it is so possibly a con for some. Maybe not a great if you don’t like dogs in the office, but surely that can’t be many!

Pros

New management style and improved processes. New management systems have addressed work / life imbalances. Fairly flat reporting structure. Open feedback via Tiny Pulse. Highly collaborative atmosphere A days training a month. Decent holiday entitlement. Salary in line with industry standards. Plenty of benefits: pension, dental scheme, bagel Mondays, lunch and learns, working from home, employee of the month, annual awards, bonuses, monthly team outings, beer o'clock. Broad spectrum of clients. Scope to explore latest trends and new tools/technologies. Opportunities to write on the company blog, appear on podcasts / webinars. Opportunities for public speaking Great if you're a self starter, willing to learn fast and have an entrepreneurial flair. You will be rewarded. Brighton SEO involvement.

Cons

Nothing major, the business has turned a corner (just look at the staff retention level) over the period I've worked there. There have been hard times, but this is in the past. Like any boutique agency (family) there are occasional internal conflicts. If you want an easy going salaried position, look elsewhere. Most team members carry a high level of responsibility and pressure, so there's nowhere to hide (or colleagues to blame) when work delivered is of a poor standard or doesn't get done in timely fashion. Time management is an issue at any agency. Under scoping work still happens and it's unlikely this can be completely resolved.

Pros

SiteVisibility and Jason (the CEO) works increadibly hard to make you feel comfortable and appreciated in your role, as well as giving you the opportunity to grow and learn new skills. The clients are interesting and varied, and the team works well together to support each other, giving a reliable and fun working environment. The pay and benefits are also great, and the monthly team events are great fun and help you get to know your colleagues both in and out of work. With a small team of people this is an important part of the companies culture. Last but not least, there is an office dog who comes in once a week! He's fantasticly friendly. If you have an idea or a passion, you have the environment to make the opportunities to use that when working at SV.

Cons

Due to it being a small team, everyone has to pull their weight. This means that there is a lot of reaponsibility on each team members shoulders, so working here is not for the faint hearted.
