Pros

Best in class benefits Nice neighborhood

Cons

-Their last four hires to the executive team have been white men. Looking at the other high-level hires they announce on the website, you'd be hard-pressed to find any faces of color within the past year. -That's not to say they don't hire people of color. Many entry level, minority employees join Skender. But there's not much being done to promote retention. When you look at similarly-sized companies, you often find minority-based employee resource groups. But outside some women in construction events, Skender isn't doing much to make their minority employees feel welcome. -When you take an issue to a member of the all white HR team, you're essentially told to go home and calm down.

Pros

Great benefits, marketing department is stellar, technology and IT are great, there are really knowledgeable people at the company, some really good processes in place, and some cool events.

Cons

People tend to be very superficial. There’s a lot of talking behind each others back, and toxicity. Executives are not honest with you and brown-nosing earns promotions faster than hard work. There’s a boys club vibe that isn’t very inclusive unless you’re a cisgender white male.
