Pros

It all seems great…at first.

Cons

If you like toxic relationships and being underpaid and #girlboss politics, go for it. If you’re normal and you want a healthy work environment where you’re treated with professionalism and respect: girl, run.

Pros

The only pro was that I had my own office. This allowed me to shut my door and power through work.

Cons

MEAN GIRLS CLUB. Stay away from this company. Out of their ten employees, four have quit within a time span of nine months. Keep in mind, these employees were all at the company for less than a year. Everyone quit because of how poorly they were treated. There are four “executives” at the company that have never worked a real job in their life. In fact, they don’t even qualify for their own job titles. They would never survive in the true professional world. The executives are selfish and money hungry people who don’t get any work done. Quite literally, they show up at 10am, leave at 4pm, and go shopping in the middle of the day. They take credit for all the work that the “little people” do and don’t give any rewards for hard work. After being employed for almost a year I asked for a well deserved raise, was told no and no negotiating. For the few months after that, I was treated incredibly poor. I was doing director level work, working days, nights, and weekends with pretty much minimum wage pay after counting how many hours I actually worked on the regular. The “executives” have favorites and don’t treat their employees fairly. The company may look good on the outside, but on the inside it’s an absolute mess. Nothing is organized, no one knows how to run a company. Please stay away before you get in too deep. Maybe one day they will realize that they are the problem… after everyone quits.

Pros

Working at Skinny Mixes has been an incredibly positive experience. The company has built a genuinely inclusive culture where employees feel valued, supported, and encouraged to contribute ideas across teams. Leadership fosters collaboration and creates an environment where people from different backgrounds and perspectives can succeed. One of the most exciting parts of the business is the constant focus on product innovation. There’s always energy around developing new flavors, launching creative products, and staying ahead of market trends. It makes the work feel fast-paced and rewarding, especially for employees who enjoy being part of a growing consumer brand. The company is also very much in “selling mode,” which creates strong momentum across the organization. There’s a clear focus on growth, expanding retail presence, and building customer relationships, making it an exciting time to be part of the team. Overall, Skinny Mixes offers a motivating environment with strong culture, innovation, and opportunity for growth.

Cons

As with many small and rapidly growing companies, some challenges come with the pace of growth. Processes and communication are still evolving, so there can occasionally be a lack of structure or clarity as teams adapt and scale. Priorities can shift quickly, which sometimes makes focus feel spread across multiple initiatives at once. Additionally, the strong emphasis on hitting distribution and growth goals can create a high-pressure environment at times. The fast-moving nature of the business can lead to stress, especially during major launches or aggressive sales pushes. However, for employees who thrive in entrepreneurial environments, these challenges can also create opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
