Pros

I think the fact that I can only think of two pros for this company speaks for itself. - Nice location - Flexi hours

Cons

I don't really know where to begin. Basically, if you've got no experience whatsoever, you've got the job! The office is tiny and an absolute mess. Office desks are packed tight with delivery boxes and clothes thrown absolutely everywhere, all over the floor and desks. The pay is extremely low for London and little to no benefits to compensate. Heads of departments don't have a clue or any valuable experience prior to Skinnydip, which as a result means you'll learn absolutely nothing on the job. They'll completely waste your time, briefing you in on large projects and putting pressure onto you to meet tight deadlines, then at the end of it, the projects don't even go live! A catty office environment. People who will suck up and play nice in order to be liked by everyone yet will drag everyone's names through the dirt behind closed doors. HR have absolutely no experience at all and will cause a scene of a situation as opposed to keeping things private and confidential. Segregating certain team members and having senior members of staff monitor them in front of the rest of the team is absolutely disgusting treatment. People gossip way too much especially senior employees who should be setting a much better example. Unless you're an intern or just starting out, this company is a waste of time. If you've got any form of valuable experience and self-respect do yourself a favour and allow yourself to flourish and grow at a company who will appreciate you and the skills that you bring to the table.

Pros

Funky products and nice events

Cons

Low salary (even in Central London) , poor management from the HO (just few exceptions here!) they decide tonight for anything and they want it to be done by tomorrow! Manipulative language and poor decisions . 2 out of 3 of the CEOs are rude with a ''I know everything'' attitude.

Pros

Pick and mix, Flexi time & office dogs

Cons

Avoid this place like the plague if you have any industry experience and want to be valued by your employers and learn anything. 95% of the people running SkinnyDip have zero experience and therefore have not a clue what they’re doing. It’s laughable that the heads of departments have never worked anywhere else and are only in their positions as the longest standing employees not because of any actual knowledge or skills. Majority of managers are rude and certain ones lack any people skills or managerial skills whatsoever and act like they are above everyone else there. Short sighted and condescending rude directors (2 out of 3) who watch your every move and treat you like children with set lunch times and doing a headcount of the office at 9am to make sure you’re not late. They will shoot down any of your ideas and believe that they are always right. They have attempted to improve with more frequent family gatherings and finally allowing people to eat breakfast past 9, but on the whole the directors will not change and will only listen to select people’s advice. You will be expected to work late to prove your dedication to the job because if you’re leaving on time you either aren’t busy enough or don’t care enough about the job. The directors are mostly oblivious to any hard work you put in and will always expect more yet won’t give you any sort of recognition/pay rise. At one point last year when teams were unhappy we were effectively told to change our outlook or leave, there was no willingness from the directors to find out what our issues were or look at how they could help us. Warehouse staff are massively undervalued and treated horribly by the directors, who expect them to stay late/come in early if they give last minute orders and should really be treated with more respect. Overall it’s a toxic workplace that takes advantage of their brand image and hires graduates that they can pay low wages and overwork. Only worth your while if you're brand new to the industry and want to learn how not to run a business.
