Pros

Well paid, relatively low expectations, if that is a positive. Amusing tantrums from overpaid air traffic controllers.

Cons

Poorly motivated staff and ineffective management. Only in Switzerland would you have two ATC centres, just because there are two main languages ( four counting Italian and Romantsch). Skyguide has good budgets and an interesting field in which to work but completely fails to deliver, with split loyalties, apathy and self entitlement to the fore. Roll on automated ATC systems, sack them ALL.

No software culture, dangerous company

Secure job, paid by the contributors.

Cons

They deploy manually on windows servers, this can be enough to describe how bad they are. No one has idea of software practices, they hire as many consultants as possible and they have 0 attention to quality. It is a shame because this is software that needs security attentions. Arrogant management ready to retirement and they have no intentions to work.

Good fringe benefits. Generous salaries.

Cons

Lifelong employees that lose touch to reality. Managers unable to make decisions, especially when it gets uncomfortable. Incompetent staff are put in other positions but still kept in the company and paid a lot of money, totally unproportional to their performance and unfair to colleagues in a similar position. Questionable promotion of women to increase quota in management positions.
