Pros

Allows to work remotely. Tech team is good, but due to the influence of others has limited say in the overall working.

Cons

Dean is a cheat, tries to show big dreams for compensating his bad attitude. Management believes that shouting at employees solves issues. Money is blocked for months. You are expected to work more than 14 hours a day, including weekends.

It is shocking to see how individuals who have never been an employee of Skylab speak so negatively and unprofessionally as this individual has. Never has Skylab or any of its affiliates force our contractors to work more than an eight hour day. Skylab not only treats and respects its independent contractors in a professional manner, but also ensures that their time is respected as well. This individual was not employed by Skylab at any time and he has purposely attacked our CEO through slander. As seen in many other reviews, our CEO treats our contractors respectfully and never makes them work a 14 hours a day as this individual stated. We will continue to monitor reviews to ensure that the most accurate picture is painted for future contractors and affiliates.

Awesome Team, Bad CEO

Pros

Skylab has an exceptional and talented team. At the beginning, you feel great and excited to work there. They have great clients, great projects and a lot of potencial to be a great company, awesome coworkers (except the CEO), also they have a great workspace.

Cons

CEO is rude and emotional, his lack of control of emotions can affect the whole team and also affects their motivation. I am aware a CEO has a lot of pressure about money and admin stuff, but he gots crazy and irrational, he is mean with some of his employees, he wants to make them work more than 12 hours or he raise his voice to them or he says really mean stuff to them. All developers complained a lot about his attitude, he was nice with clients but really mean with employees which affected their quality and results of their work. He is always frustrated.

As the Director of Communications for Skylab, it is always important to take notice of individuals who intend to harm the company's image through malicious intent or slander. I can assure anyone reading this review that this individual was not an employee at any time for Skylab. At no time does Skylab or its CEO force its independent contractors to work more than eight hours a day. The CEO has developed a personal relationship with many of his staff members and has treated them with the upmost respect as seen in previous reviews It is unfortunate that this individual saw otherwise. As many of you can see from the other reviews left by other staff members, the culture of Skylab is one of respect and commitment to others and their professional goals.

Rude CEO Wants to Control You

Pros

Some of my teammates were good people. They were the only ones I could connect with in this gloomy environment.

Cons

The CEO was a rude and disrespectful person who wanted to control everything and everyone, It was ridiculous to be expected to do everything as per one persons's mood swings. It was stressful to be expected to do everything as per their insane timelines. Beware!

It is unfortunate Glassdoor does not authenticate these types of reviews. There is a troll who is posting inflamed reviews pretending to be a ex contractor. However Glassdoor is aware now as is our team. Our executives where in charge of all contractors, the CEO 99% of the time had zero contact with them. It appears someone is trying to slander the CEO which would be hard when he was never in the office or running contractors.
