Awful Upper Management and No Direction

Pros

Decent benefits, cool product (in theory), lunch stipend. Decent work life balance until they started tracking clock ins/outs for salaried workers. Immediate bosses and management are typically awesome people, but they have to do a lot of shielding between you and upper management. When targets are hit, you get a cool reward/bonus.

Cons

Will fire you or hire a replacement behind your back and with no warning or prior negative feedback. Will say that you are too expensive, no longer useful, or that you don’t fit the companies’ needs. Will only hire individuals with specific experience of 20+ years in the exact role they want at a Fortune 500 aerospace company, and the turnover is so bad combined with the crazy hiring expectations that recruiting is unable to keep up with the Executive staff’s mind changing weekly on company direction and targets. If you start to make too much noise, they will bash for for not “Operating as One Team”, which is one of their core Code of Conduct values.

Pros

- The overall mission of increasing safety in small aircrafts is both practical and necessary. - Very talented people are recruited and join the company. - Pay and benefits were fantastic when I worked there.

Cons

Skyryse leadership manipulates in the name of marking and selling their brand identity. The amount of stuff I realized was a lie/twist of words within a month was overwhelming. Any attempt to fix processes or ask critical questions was considered a violation of their code of conduct. If they were manipulating this much to attract talent, I legitimately question what they’re telling investors. It’s a company that relied on people willing to drink the Kool-Aid…which they happily restocked for free as one of the perks of employment. Note to anyone actually looking at the reviews: If the only con someone can come up with is “the free lunches are too temping” is probably just another review created by an HR employee to get people in the door.

Pros

Free lunch and snacks, Really!!!

Cons

High turnover rate; hire fast and fire faster culture. Unstable management, constantly changing directions. Fearful work environment with frequent layoffs across all departments. Unsafe and flawed SkyOS system, with severe consequences for raising concerns. Nobody knows what they are doing, just trial and error. Unreliable job security; detrimental to career growth. Relocation for the job can result in significant personal disruption without long-term job stability. If you're considering a position here, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Despite truly vested into projects and extensive experience, I was let go without valid reason. The company hires aggressively and fires even faster, leading to a constantly changing workforce. They lured me to relocate me and my family, only to provide minimal severance upon termination to avoid legal issues. Attitude against experienced employees is rampant. I witnessed numerous colleagues, from janitors, security to directors, being walked out regularly, creating a culture of fear. Management is erratic, frequently changing project directions and deadlines. Over two years, they've failed to deliver a basic safe functional system, and anyone who points out flaws is at risk of termination. The company's enticing salary offers are not worth the instability and stress. Accepting a job here may severely harm your career. Do not be swayed by the high offers; the reality is a toxic, unpredictable work environment.
