Pros

I did meet some good people here

Cons

Terrible place to work.. If you are a skilled tradesman who values your safety, your time, and getting paid for the actual hours you work, stay as far away from Slifco Electric as possible. I lasted exactly one month in this toxic, disorganized environment before walking away. First and foremost: they will attempt to steal your wages. When I resigned after working a full 40 hours over a compressed Monday-through-Thursday schedule, their corporate payroll department arbitrarily docked my final paycheck down to 32 hours, using standard corporate double-speak to justify shorting a full week’s work. They will gladly treat you like a salaried employee when it means denying you overtime, but the second you walk out the door, they will pivot and nickel-and-dime your hours. I had to reach out to the Department of Labor just to get my remaining hours. The company culture is miserable. There is a toxic, rigid hierarchy where field personnel are treated like disposable second-class citizens by an arrogant, out-of-touch management team. Furthermore, their field operations are an absolute joke. The logistical method for ordering materials and equipment is completely broken, leading to massive site delays, frustration, and chaos. But the most alarming part? The moment their own logistical incompetence threatens project productivity, management expects the workforce to bypass critical safety processes just to make up for lost time. They talk a big game about safety, but when the pressure is on, productivity is the only thing they actually care about. Slifco doesn't respect safety. Take your skills elsewhere to a company that actually possesses an ounce of operational integrity.

Pros

I can’t say enough good things about the company, management team, and overall workplace culture. Leadership genuinely has employees’ best interests in mind and consistently recognizes hard work and dedication. Teamwork is strongly encouraged, creating a supportive and collaborative environment. The company also offers amazing benefits and provides the guidance and leadership needed to build a successful long-term career with a growing organization.

Cons

Like many growing companies, processes are being refined and optimized, which can sometimes create temporary challenges during periods of growth.

Pros

Leadership is hands-on, accessible, and genuinely cares about both employees and project success. The company offers the opportunity to work on large, complex projects across data centers, industrial, and automotive sectors, which helps accelerate career growth and experience. Expectations are clear, and the environment is results-driven, rewarding those who perform. The company is also forward-thinking, investing in tools like BIM, prefabrication, and project controls, and offers very competitive benefits.

Cons

As the company continues to grow, some processes are still being developed and standardized.
