Cons

I was hired for a CSM role, in the month of October. I was lacking certain skills in terms of basic communication. Usually, during my calls, I used to stutter very badly. We used to have mocks I used to put in my effort to the fullest. In the month of January on a client call, I stuttered mildly. The management found it really bad and decided to put me on PIP. I accepted their decision with utmost humility and decided to work on it. The results were visible in the form of improvements, which the management had appreciated. The company had decided on an annual trip in the month of February. I had initially denied the same due to the fear of PIP. Later, the person who was heading our team had asked me to go for the same and eventually agreed. All the above signals looked positive for me and had boosted my morale. Once I was back from the trip on Monday I had given my mock demo with the team, it was one of the best and my teammates had appreciated it. The very next day there was a separate call with my management, I was expecting something positive for the PIP result , well to my surprise they came up with the decision of letting me go. The reason was communication, bad fit. At the same time, the management had made such ironical statements like that I was really hardworking person ever since the day I joined. So if that's the case then why is the termination being made. I had a couple of questions for them like if the fit was not right, why was the hiring decision being made. They had no concrete answers for it. Later I asked them Why did you make such fake statements like the improvement is really good and at the same, I will be allocated more accounts once the PIP ends. They were speechless. As per their request, I dropped my papers marking 23rd March 2021 as my last working day. It was accepted by the company over email. On March 1st one of the members of the management team pings me on Whatsapp mentioning that my last working day was 23rd Feb and not 23rd March, I was surprised, a few days back these people had accepted my date of resignation as 23rd Mach on email, now coming back with such illogical statements. I made my stand clear by mentioning there is two months notice as per the engagement, at the same time termination happens due to bad behaviour or bad performance , I was being laid off since the fit was not right. Eventually after an argument, they agreed on my last working day.

Cons

There are multiple problems at different levels to a point where the company is witnessing significant attrition : Hostile work environment, public harassments, ridiculous behind the back gossip by senior reps, especially about salaries. There are two senior US reps who were promoted as managers for NO reason, they have zero people skills, no sales knowledge, zero respect for people. They are rude and self centered and behave as though team members are slaves and yell and ridicule them if they do not function as per these "managers". No wonder the culture has become toxic and unhealthy. Very hard for people to scale or work effectively. A highly unproductive rule like standups multiple times a day , 3 on Mondays with separate standup for managers (like really???) It is an unsafe work environment where the processes are not just confusing but no one really knows what is going on or has answers for newer employees and the impact of this messy process is unfortunately suffered by employees. SDR promotions are very biased, unless you are in the good books of the management, it will be made difficult for you to advance your career. Working on weekends is appreciated, no work life balance. 24/7 you are made to think about work and worry about what you will be ridiculed about on Monday. Training and onboarding is of lowest quality, no learning or growth opportunities. Nothing gets done internally without following up for at least 10 times. Cannot even provide the correct Form 16 to employees without having them follow up multiple times and with multiple people. Former employees are arm twisted into writing positive reviews. I wish I could give them zero star.

Pros

Good salary offered. Learning curve used to be higher. Nothing else, had to write minimum five words. Join at your own risk.

Cons

Where do we start? Everything that glitters is not gold 1. Initially you'd love to be in the charged up environment everyone trying to work hard and hit their numbers and eventually you realise that all day you just think, speak, breathe about your quota. There is nothing left to your professional or personal development and it starts getting at you eventually. 2. For instance this company had two check-ins every day to ask how much of your pipe has moved. 2 times every day. Like something is going to close in the afternoon and you are not going to inform your manager about it. 3. Too much of micro management - The new managers apart from only one have absolutely no idea of how to manage people. Zero sense of talking with others and too much of micro management. There is a manager who literally will read through each one of your email. Will get anxious with closures and make your life difficult. These newbies feel that you are not going to do your job and unfortunately the only thing they learnt is micro managing. They will criticise you and question everything you do 4. No work life balance - Working on weekends is celebrated. If you do not finish a task on Friday and your manager or sales leader notices it get ready for interrogation on why you did not do it when its Monday. You are not productive if you are not slogging. 5. You cannot take day offs freely - You will be frowned upon by the leaders if you take a day off especially towards the end of the month 6. Talk behind your back - There are some people from India team that did well and have been promoted but there are others that keep spreading rumours about them. The early hires at Slintel will talk behind your back make jokes about you when you are not part of the group. 7. No privacy - This was shocking when the older reps at Slintel knew everyone's salary. Like why would you do that and on top of it discuss it internally with others. 8. Too much of work - The work here for sales reps is never ending. Its always a pile of files on your table
