Pros

Decent entry-level job for gaining experience in 12-volt electronics and automotive installation.

Cons

Since the hedge fund acquisition, the company has entered a downward spiral. There has been a noticeable shift toward prioritizing metrics and bottom-line profits over employee retention and customer service. The family atmosphere is almost gone, replaced by cost-cutting measures. While Smart Start used to be an innovator, it is now lagging behind; technicians are forced to rely on what seems to be 20+ year-old device tech and a clunky, outdated Java-based legacy application.
