Thanks for taking the time to write a review and I am genuinely sorry that your experience working with us was poor, we aim to create a great working environment for all of our team members and it is clear in your case, we have missed that mark. I am pleased to say however, that things are changing very positively and with a lot of pace round here these days. In the last 3 months we have moved to a lovely shiny new office in Leatherhead (I agree the Weybridge one was very tired by the end) and have added some real industry pros, including a Strategic Operations Director, a Business Psychologist and an HR manager to our senior leadership team who are helping to guide us into the next stages of our business and together, we are making waves which have been very well received by our team members. We do regret that it was too late to keep you with us but wish you every success wherever your career takes you next

Pros

To be honest, there were no real pros to working at Smarter Cover. The experience showed me exactly what I don’t want in a workplace.

Cons

Working at Smarter Cover was an extremely challenging experience. The long hours were relentless, and despite being advertised as a remote-friendly role, there was absolutely no flexibility. The management was egocentric and unapproachable, setting completely unrealistic targets while offering little to no support. The company had no real structure, making processes chaotic and disorganised. Even when employees worked hard to hit targets, bonuses were frequently taken away without explanation, leaving no real incentive to stay motivated. Rather than fostering a supportive environment, the workplace felt like a dictatorship, where employees were micromanaged, undervalued, and treated as disposable. The overall culture was toxic, with high turnover and no genuine opportunities for growth or develop

Hi [Reviewer], Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with us didn’t meet your expectations. We truly value all feedback as it helps us improve. We’d like to address some of the points you raised: Working Hours – The hours for this role were clearly outlined in the job description and discussed during the hiring process. We strive for transparency so that all employees fully understand their working commitments from the outset. Work-from-Home Policy – Our remote work policy is well-defined, allowing employees to work from home on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, provided they meet the necessary performance metrics. This structure is designed to balance flexibility with productivity. Management Accessibility – Our leadership team prides itself on being approachable. With an open-plan office and a culture that encourages communication, employees have regular access to Sales Managers and Senior Leadership for support and guidance. Performance Targets & Bonuses – In 2025, 70% of our Sales & Retentions staff have achieved their bonuses every month, which reflects that our targets are realistic and achievable. Bonuses are based on performance metrics, including quality and compliance standards, which are essential to maintaining the integrity of our business. Support & Development – We invest heavily in employee development through continuous training, mentorship programs, and management coaching. We aim to foster a supportive environment where our team members can grow and succeed. We’re always open to constructive discussions on how we can improve. If you’d like to share more about your experience, we’d welcome the opportunity to speak further.
