Fantastic culture and collaboration, but pay and advancement issues
Pros
One of the best companies I've ever worked for. Great culture, awesome people, and great collaboration. Great work/life balance with the right management.
Cons
Depending if upper management likes you and decides you aren't problematic, you can move up. The company got absorbed by Unilever and the current CEO, Hanneke, is so disconnected to the people carrying the weight of company on their back. Smarty works alongside Olly, its sister company, and although employees in equivalent roles perform the same work at both companies, compensation differs significantly, with pay at Olly being substantially higher. Depending how reliable and important you are in projects, work/life balance can be hell due to awful organization. It depends who's driving the bus.
