Pros

Family owned business. No red tape. If I need anything, I just need to speak up and I get my answers right away. I don't have to wait for "corporate" to approve or deny any request. Owners are awesome. They truly care for their employees.

Cons

Some growing pains. No longer a small business.

Pros

The company is always growing, creating advancement options. Well compensated (Based on working in the Sales department). Management is easy to talk to, and understanding.

Cons

Due to the volume on the phones and in the field, last minute "time off" can be stressful.

Pros

~ Family owned and operated; not as much "red tape" to go around when seeking approval for some task or situation in most cases ~ As an employee, you get to enjoy discounts on the services offered by the company to their external clients ~ Pretty laid back environment overall; most everyone is friendly enough ~ Good opportunity to learn the phsyical security business aspects ~ Fairly easy to shift internally between departments and learn new skill sets ~ Entry level accessable in most departments (office and some field positions) ~ Plenty of coverage needed so hiring and interviewing pretty regularly ~ Great employee health, vision, & dental benefits; around average for dependants/families in price ~ If you are a self-starter, team player and looking to invest in learning all you can here you will do very well ~ Simple to "explain," but training could use more structure; as stated above, you have to be a self-starter, team player with a learners mindset to get the most out of any position/department *

Cons

~ Minor and loose definitions in roles and responsiblities between departments & various positions ~ Little to no written policies or procedures for handling many situations; learn by doing, but not always in a "positive" or effecient way ~ Simple to "explain," but training could use more structure; you have to be a self-starter, team player with a learners mindset to get the most out of any position/department * ~ For the most difficult departments to keep staffed for due to coverage needs, skills required, etc., they have become most challenging as they are a Jack-of-all-trades / catch-all obsorbing more duties as services and products expand and evolve ~ Don't expect to get any living-wage raises, despite the growing and nebulous lists of responsibilities and industry changes ~ Partnered with a 3rd party to offer a 401K, however no longer matching.. ~ Family owned and operated; unfortunately the ceiling is pretty low on how far you can move up professionally and financially
