Smoothstack is a great platform for new graduates. I got the opportunity to gain hands on experience working with the most current technologies. Professional growth is encouraged, and management team is very supportive of employees.

Cons

Company is rapidly growing so at times it can be hectic, but it is exciting at the same time

Inspirational organization with a great culture

Pros

Got me a gig at Paypal in the JavaScript team after their immersive training program at no cost. I had heard about other programs similar to Smoothstack but they all charge you money to train. Here not only did I get free training but I got the mentoring that I never got in college to not only improve my coding skills but also get real time project exposure which helped me nail a job at a Fortune 100 firm via their corporate partnerships.

Cons

As word is spreading about Smoothstack it’s getting more and more competitive to get invited into their program.

Life Changing Opportunity

Opportunity to learn how to code on some of the most in demand technology stacks while in a real time project environment. All the buzz words you hear about in job ads but you have limited or no idea as to what they are coming out of with a college degree come to life like - AI, Machine Learning, Dev OPS, Hybrid Cloud etc come to life. Its absolutely amazing looking back on all that I learnt in such a short amount of time in comparison to 4 years in college. If you get selected for the corporate partnership programs then you will actually have the chance to interact and showcase your code as you move within the program with your prospective employers. For the first time, I felt that companies were vying for me to join their company than the other way around.

Cons

Let no one fool you into believing that this is a cake walk. The program is very selective and demanding and you will have to work your behind off.
