Pros

Good employer with a solid management team. Their learning progression is well thought out takes a beginner through the steps from new on skis/board to competent and safe turns. Staff benefits are a nice addition and a working day has sufficient breaks for re-charging before carrying on to the next lesson. Staff training is always available. I particularly enjoyed working with my fellow ski / board instructors who all pitch in during busy periods to keep the learners on track. The slopes are very good for an indoor ski slope and there has been plenty of investment in the equipment and facilities recently.

Cons

Personally I never had any cons. If you turn up on time and enjoy teaching snow sports then you shouldn't have any issues IMHO.

Pros

Really great team from top to bottom. I felt welcome and valued from day 1 and still do every time I turn up. No zero hours contracts, everyone is a team member and looked after properly. Autonomy - coaches are free to run lessons and not over controlled. Management are great with customer complaints and usually can turn anything a guest is concerned about into a positive without having to run and ask permission from someone else.

Cons

Can be really busy in high season (weekends) but there's usually support, float coaches, management etc. on the slope to coordinate things. Rope tow destroys gloves.

Thank you for your feedback, we are really pleased to read that you felt supported and valued by the Management team, this is exactly the environment we strive to create for all of our team. Thank you also for your constructive feedback regarding the gloves, we provide these as part of your uniform and therefore take your comments on board.

Pros

Management is nice and always supportive (especially Ross, Nicola and Kerry), colleagues are great and it really feels like a team. Decent company to work for overall.

Cons

New starters get thrown on busiest days for first day so the pressure is high and it is not fair for the other employees who have to train them on top of the daily tasks. Long hours in a windowless place (not their fault) so you experience the physics effect of time dilation. Sometimes stupid rules from HQ comes up and customers are not happy about it and we, at reception, will be the first on

Thank you for your 5* review, and taking the time to provide your feedback. We're really pleased that you feel supported by the leadership team, it is something that is really important to us, so it's great to see that reflected in your feedback. We understand that starting on a busy day can feel overwhelming, and we’re currently reviewing how we onboard new team members to ensure they feel supported from day one. Training and workload balance are important to us, and we’re working to improve this for both new starters and existing staff. We appreciate that front-of-house teams can sometimes face the immediate impact of any changes that are introduced. We aim to provide clear communication and support so staff feel confident handling customer concerns. Thank you again for your honest feedback—it helps us identify where we can do better.
