Pros

Very nice and useful product So many talents Great potential There are some great people that understand the difficulties of being a sales person in a unsupportive environment even in the executives.

Cons

After careful consideration, I've decided to share my thoughts about my experience at Sosafe on Glassdoor. I was part of the Sales team at Sosafe and, unfortunately, my journey with the company came to an end abruptly on the last day of my probation period, which lasted six months. The lack of notice and the reasons behind my termination left me with questions. It appears that my situation was not unique, as others before and after me faced the same scenario. Sosafe initially appeared to have significant potential as a startup with an exciting product. Really ! However, it's disheartening to witness how the company has evolved over time. The root cause of many issues seems to revolve around one individual: the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Beyond a questionable Go-to-Market strategy, the CRO's leadership has negatively impacted many lives. It's ironic to see this person posting about mental health and employee well-being on LinkedIn when it doesn't seem to align with their actions within the company. Many employees experienced hardships during my time there, including therapy, burnout, wrongful termination, and the need to start all over again at different companies. These are clear examples of the consequences of their decisions. One striking example of the toxic environment is the termination of a pregnant team member for "lack of results," despite her being the top performer in her team. This raises significant concerns. What's particularly frustrating is the apparent immunity of the CRO, partly because he surrounded himself with friends and family in key managerial roles. This has led to rapid promotions and the creation of seemingly unnecessary positions. Removing the CRO seems unlikely, as they will all follow him blindly. Additionally, some managers lack the necessary skills to lead effectively and instead blame others for their shortcomings. Firing their team just because they can't handle them or train them. It's time to practice what you preach and prioritize employee well-being over solely focusing on numbers. Sosafe's HR department doesn't appear to address these issues adequately, as even the HR director was let go. Prioritizing short-term gains over long-term sustainability. To the "People Person" reading this, I beg you not to respond with generic requests to come forward. I tried that while I was there, reaching out to my manager, HR, and even the CEO. Unfortunately, the toxic environment persisted even after my departure.

Pros

Good product, great people at the ground level

Cons

If you want to work for incompetent leaders, this is the place to be The employees at the AE and SDR level are great. Lots of holiday allowance Leadership is laughable. No direction offered, no support and definitely will not get any training or enablement tools to actually do the work successfully. You will be promised the world, what you'll actually get is a garbage pile. Focus on extravagant spending on offices and parties and alcohol - none on actually work. They treat staff like expendable cattle and if you EVEN think about complaining about leadership, you will be fired. The key take away, they are NOT looking to build a sustainable business. You'll see in less than a year - 2023 - they'll have to lay off a percentage of the workforce as they'll plough through cash and keep looking for investment. The company is being built SOLELY for investment and being bought out. The only way to do that is to keep hiring, not training and keep getting new rounds of investment. I have been here for a year and have basically had 0 support even from my new leader who just goes travelling all the time. Helps that the CRO is his best friend right. Common occurrence, the CRO (who has NEVER sold in his life) has basically hired all his mates and surrounded himself with a boys club and fired off anyone who actually tried to make a difference. Don't put incompetent leaders in place. They'll force you to lose money everywhere and you'll lose in the long run.
