Pros

Working as a contracted professional, you get exposure to agencies in the community to see what it would be like to work there and test the waters. The Social Work PRN contact person was so helpful, friendly, and professional, and always available to answer my questions. She was very responsive.

Cons

In this economy, it was a barrier for an employer to consider hiring me through Social Work PRN because of the fee they would have to pay to hire me. However, if the company wanted to keep a contractor working through the agency, the fee may be reduced based on the number of hours you put in with that company.

Cons

The population, I’d like to work with an older population. Certain job duties that place you in high risk situations.
