Weak management and no care for people, fake values, management talks badly about their employees behind their backs
Pros
Fully remote work, some colleagues were nice (didn't just pretend)
Cons
Weak management and no care for people, management talks badly about their employees behind their backs, while smiling widely at their faces. It's not true about their values. They are trying to build something and asking employees to write good reviews about the values, but there is no real care for people and no competent employees to incorporate true values, so they fail in imbedding them into the team. They announce that they have made a group flight booking for the team event, and 2(!) days later they are laying off 25+ people (out of total 100). Studio head didn’t say good-bye to the employees affected by the layoff (not to mention thanking them for the hard work that they had done), even with whom he had been working very closely for a long time. Very quick decision making and changing them, and lack of strategy or any vision. Constantly shifting people internally, hiring and firing. People who work there for long are either unable to land in a better place for some reason or are staying loyal to the management, sharing same approaches and attitudes, which are in many occasions disrespectful to people inside the company and outside of it. Salaries way below the market. The company hires juniors and if the person doesn’t perform on a mid senior level at least, they easily fire this person. They don’t provide with any mentorship (or maybe with just a smidge), as everybody is too overloaded with other stuff. No growth opportunities. (Most of the Senior titles were given to people who hadn't been affected by the layoff, just to retain their loyalty)
