Pros

Fantastic technology for Service Providers. Great benefits and huge flexibility (some take advantage of this too much). Regional leadership (VP level) is very supportive, but not backed up from greater SLT. So much cash in the bank they can afford to throw it around on acquisitions that make no sense at all.

Cons

No innovation for Enterprise customers. Leadership needs to change, especially at a Product Management level. Financial goals/targets are out of reach and out of line to market growth. Very difficult to earn commission. Both Treq and PT acquisitions have/will fail due to not understanding what they are buying, and not understanding the real opportunity globally - outside of the USA. Too much focus on SFDC, rather than telling stories to customers. Reporting daily at the EoQ is just too much.

Pays well, good benefits. Excellent product to work on and learn from. Cutting edge of technology.

Cons

Expands and shrinks fast, and destroys peoples employments in a hear beat.. Sonus willing to convince someone to resign from a stable job of other company by offering a large Salary, then as soon as a their project or goal is complete, they layoff that person without any consideration. Very high pay, and highly not a trustworthy company at all. They shipped most of their positions off sure, and might higher people for a short period of time to correct their mistakes as they continue to ship jobs overseas.. This is a company to avoid. Do not get fooled by the high offers/salary,, check their long records of layoff the past two year under the new management, with a single goal; to ship most engineering and support jobs off-shore.

Genband has acquired (yes, merger is myth) Sonus and anything that was good with Sonus is evaporating way too fast.

Pros

Good people. Okayish work. Not challenging, but once in a while product complexity will give you a kick and fun. I have done maybe 3 challenging cool projects in 10years, which is not bad. But it's people with whom you will spend 8hrs that will and has so far kept me here for last 10yrs. Not everyone is a gem, but mostly reasonable folks and few gems in every team.

Cons

New benefits are Genband inspired and simply suck. They are so bad, mid level employees are easily down with $10k per year of salary towards avg medical costs. In future they are going to suck more. HR is totally Genbandis and cheaper cost is their only objective.
