Pros

This is a small company that is trying to stay small

Cons

1. Work overload. 2. When people "retire" or are let go they do not replace them. They choose people to dump their work load on other already overworked employees. 3. There is no information passed on to responsible parties. 4. If an issue arises, fingers are pointed , nobody takes responsibility or it is ignored until the issue becomes to bad to be ignored. At that point the minimal amount of work is done to "fix" the issue. 5. Machines are not properly maintained. They often run with outdated or worn out parts. When these parts fail, they are "repaired" but no replaced unless they have no choice. When these parts are replaced, they do not keep them in stock and they are generally outdated so the machine sits down for days, weeks or months at a time. 6. Safety is an afterthought. 7. Machine operators are not trained how to run the machines. The leads do not know how to run them either. This often results in avoidable accidents or down time. 8. The training records are disorganized and often not accurate. 9. Management does not hold anyone accountable so proper shift changes are not done. Machine operators and other employees often get away with damaging machines or not running them at all.

Pros

Very caring individuals work at Sorenson and they genuinely care about you and your life outside of work. Low-stress environment. Easy to put in your hours, then go home. Very rarely have overtime or stressed thinking about work projects while you are at home.

Cons

Seems everyone is related to someone else that works there, so you get hired more for who you know that what you know. That's good and bad, but it definitely puts some people in positions that they aren't qualified to do. Also this makes it a challenge when someone isn't pulling their weight, as almost no one gets fired. Low stress environment is great, but makes it easy for some to do very little work and cash in a paycheck while taking credit for others' projects. They try to run very lean, so pay is moderate to poor and technology is a bit behind the curve.

Pros

If you want to get promoted to another job and you have no experience, but potential then you will have a higher chance to get the job. Which is amazing if you want to build experience.

Cons

Lazy people. They tend to favor a certain shift. Where as another shift will carry on all the hard work, but doesn't get any credit. They just complete their bare minimum necessary work and throw it all on to another shift. There are so many people that are so stupid it amazes me how they still work there. These are people who have been working there for years, and still manage to mess the easiest things up. I'm talking about everyone, it doesn't matter the job title. If you work hard and the upper management notices, they take advantage of you. You end up doing your bosses job but with lower pay. If you are lucky to have a good manager then you'll the get raise you "deserve" (as in they give you as much as they can). It's very unorganized there, they are scraping to get by. There are snitches in the company, that doesn't have anything else to do with their job but watch people's time card and if they are leaving the building too much. I hate how some of the supporting help treat co-workers as if they are stupid and don't know how to do anything, when in fact they are the ignorant ones. The irony right? Its sad cause majority people know certain ones have issues, but they still keep them around because it's better than training a new person. Also the fact that no-one wants to apply for the position for such cheap pay.
