Pros

The management of the company is professional, available, and supportive. They try to match you with an assignment which will suit your personal needs and professional aspirations. Normal working hours. No worries about driving in the snow. The work is with children with multiple disabilities in special needs classroom. ( There are other work scenarios). It is easy to become attached to these adorable children. Low stress environment. The pay is higher than most daytime work for nurses outside of the hospital setting.

Cons

The daily classroom routine is rote and, at times, boring. No benefits (1099) meaning that you will pay your own quarterly taxes which is an additional 7% (FICA). No sick time. paid holidays, or medical insurance. At this time, the Affordable Care Act Insurance (in order to afford it) has very high deductibles (mine is $5500/year) before one can use the insurance.
