SoutheastHEALTH was a great organization to work for! The culture throughout the organization is one of the best I have ever encountered. The CEO at SoutheastHEALTH takes pride in keeping his employees informed with future plans. I am proud to say that I worked at SoutheastHEALTH!

Cons

Pay is lower than some other organizations in the area but if you include the awesome benefits and the culture then it definitely compares.

Pros

Staff nurses continue to have team minded approach. Units/wards are small families and support one another encouraging in professional, personal, and educational endeavors.

Cons

Chaos in a time of change. Recent change in value of education and the promotion of nursing as a profession by midlevel management. Fiscally minded, but excessively so. There has to be a balance of balancing a budget while still taking care of patients and nurses. The concept of personal and team goals for performance is good. I personally feel this should be a percent raise "if allowed by budget" in addition to a cost of living increase across the board. I am not sure what system HR is using for salary analysis, but it is outdated!! My independent use of three systems, research on Bureau of Labor and Statistics website, and survey by national nursing association's reveal a much different rate of pay.
